It was the Haute-Côte-Nord’s turn to host the Colloque Azimut, a major event to raise awareness about the circular economy and encourage companies to adopt sustainable business practices. The event was organized by Synergie 138, Environnement Côte-Nord and the SADCs of the Haute-Côte-Nord, Côte-Nord, Manicouagan, and Charlevoix-Côte-de-Beaupré-Île d’Orléans.

The event kicked off in the morning with a lecture on sustainable development by Rose-Marie Gallant from Atelier Éco-Art. Nicolas Gagnon from the CQDD and Félix Robert from Ambioner followed, with lectures on integrating sustainable development in your organizational practices, and energy efficiency and joining the low-carbon movement.
After lunch, round tables with companies gave participants a chance to discover innovative and inspiring approaches to the circular economy. The following companies were in attendance:
Mer et monde écotours
Bionord
Levebvre Industri-AL
Ferme Jean-Robert Audet
Groupe Boisaco
Atelier Éco-Art
The day ended with a presentation from Franck Turcotte (director of Village Vacances Petit-Saguenay) on the steps his company has taken to improve sustainability.
